what we do
Everything we fabricate revolves around your ideas.
Together, we have more than 50 years of glass experience.
Within our 4,400 sq. ft. studio, we strive to accommodate some of your more grand ambitions. Most of these processes date back centuries; we’re here to bring your ideas to life in the modern age.casting / slumping
There are various methods within glass casting and slumping we are able to utilize in order to transform your designs into glass. In our studio, we are currently able to support project parts based on the sizes of our kilns listed below.
Nabertherm large slumping kiln : 45’’ x 40’’ x 15’’
Freddy Made casting kiln : 24’’ x 24’’ x 30’’
Paragon GL24 : 21’’ x 21’’ x 15’’
cold working
As its name suggests, cold working is the process of changing the shape or surface texture of glass using processes that do not involve heat. In our studio, we are able to accommodate methods including cutting, grinding, polishing, carving and more in order to get the finish you need.
flame working
By heating pre made rods and tubes of glass in a flame, we are able to manipulate the material to fit your specific project. We run a GTT Delta Elite torch making the possibilities almost endless.
glass blowing
The technique of forming an object by inflating a gather or glob of molten glass on the end of a blowpipe. Traditionally and in modern furnace working, the gaffer blows through the pipe to inflate the glass, which can then be manipulated into the required form. While we do not have a furnace in house, we work closely with a rental studio in Los Angeles in order to make what you need.
rubber mold making
Mold making is the process used to duplicate three dimensional models or objects. Through the use of a mold making material we cast a negative, or a reverse, of your object. The negative can then be used to cast a second part that is the same size and shape as the original part. We use professional mold making a lot in our other processes. However, if you simply need only the negative silicone mold, we would be more than happy to make that for you.
