Adam cohen
Born and raised in New York City, Adam received a BFA from Alfred University and an MFA from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale. He has studied under such notable glass artists as Jeremy Lepisto, Deborah Horrell and Jiyong Lee. In 2007, he conducted his post-bach work at Tsingua University in Beijing, China under Professor Wang Zhang Zong. Cohen currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington.
Adam is the owner of Second Best Studio and is also our primary resource for all needs in kiln casting and forming.
danielle brensinger
After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Glass from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University in 2012, Danielle immediately became immersed in the world of glass lighting and production. She previously lived in Brooklyn, New York working as a freelance glassblower, artist assistant and educator out of UrbanGlass while teaching as an adjunct professor at Salem Community College in New Jersey.
Currently living in Los Angeles, California, she is a primary team member of Second Best Studios as a glassblower, lamp worker and cold worker while she continues to fabricate work for lighting and interior designers.
ethan stern
Born in Ithaca, New York, Ethan lives in Los Angeles, California as a practicing studio artist. He earned his BFA in Sculpture from Alfred University. In addition to his studio practice, Stern is the Ceramics Director at the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge Northeast of LA. His work is held in many public and private collections including the Corning Museum of Glass, the Museum of Glass in Tacoma Washington, the Eboltoft Glass Museum in Denmark, the Museum of American Glass in New Jersey and the Toyama Glass Art Museum in Japan. Ethan has taught sculpture at the University of Washington, Pilchuck Glass School, Pratt Fine Arts Center, The Penland School of Craft, UrbanGlass in Brooklyn and the Pittsburgh Glass Center.
Ethan continues to fabricate his own work while being a primary team member of Second Best Studios as both a glassblower and key cold worker.
